RV FEATURE
TOWING COURSE
Before setting off on a big trip, why not book yourself and your partner in for a towing course, even if it’ s just for a refresher? It is vital that, if you’ re travelling with a partner, both know how to safely, legally and confidentially tow the caravan( as well as pack it down and hitch it up). This will not only allow you to rotate driving duties so that both people get a break, but it means that if there is an emergency affecting one person, or one person is sick, and you need to hit the road, you can still do so.

SITE PLANS
It’ s increasingly common for the larger holiday park chains to provide site plans on their websites. Take advantage of this, as obtaining a plan in advance of making your booking will put you on the front foot in terms of requesting a site within the park that best suits you.
Where site plans aren’ t available online, don’ t be shy about requesting for one to be emailed to you.
OVERNIGHTING
If you are only planning to stay one night at a holiday park, consider requesting a drivethrough site, if available. This will allow you to keep the van hitched up, though it might be a good idea to at least put the jockey wheel down and raise the van off the towbar. But at least the van and vehicle are lined up, ready to roll first thing in the morning.
