Mount Robinson Rest Area is located in the Pilbara, WA. Now, you might be asking, why are we including a simple rest area in our awesome list of freedom camps for Australia?

Not only is it a Pilbara beauty in its own right, it is also close to spectacular Karijini National Park.
What a terrific stopover! Although Mount Robinson Rest Area is 24 hours only, it has two sets of toilets and a dump point, plus several picnic shelters. Fire pits were also about.
We had a lovely chat to caravanners Robyn and Bruce from Bunbury / Busselton, who were on their way to Broome. They travel with their Camps guide, and asked why they kept seeing us.
