DAY 1
LAKES ENTRANCE TO MALLACOOTA
Seven caravans left Lakes Entrance, headed for Mallacoota, a town surrounded by the magnificent wilderness of the Croajingolong National Park and set on the picturesque Mallacoota Inlet. Mallacoota was about 200km from Lakes Entrance, so it wasn’ t a big day of travelling. We were all surprised by how green and lush the countryside was along the way, particularly when compared to the rest of the state.
We stopped at Cann River for a short break before reaching Mallacoota. Our accommodation was the Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park, a large park overlooking the sea and lakes. We set-up and relaxed for the afternoon. Some went for walks along the foreshore or into town to do some shopping. We all gathered at 4.30pm for happy hour and enjoyed a chat over drinks and nibbles.
A walk to Pebbly Beach, Mallacoota.
