Jayco has developed a new campervan based on the Volkswagen JRV-X as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

This new campervan fuses retro charm with modern features. With its deluxe two-tone blue and white exterior, reminiscent of the iconic VW Combi vans of the 70s, and its contemporary Oxford Blue and Natural Oak interior, the JRV-X brings a wave of nostalgia with a fresh, modern edge.

“ This is an iconic van that stands as a true milestone in Jayco’ s history. It’ s bold, distinctive, and built for a lifetime of adventures,” Jayco’ s Nathan Matthews said.“ It’ s a fusion of European internal styling and functionality with an iconic two-tone VW platform, a nod to the Combi vans that defined an era.”

The vehicle is powered by a biturbo four-cylinder engine( 130kW / 410Nm), paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4Motion AWD. Features such as a blind spot monitor, front and rear park assist, and a rear-view camera further enhance safety and convenience.

Inside, the high-bed design allows for efficient storage. Other features include a two-burner cooktop, Freshjet Lite AC, a 152L compressor fridge, a 24in TV / DVD combo with soundbar, a 300Ah lithium battery, a 200W solar panel, a 105L fresh water tank and a 65L grey water tank.
