THE FRONT BOOT
SPACE RACE IN GEELONG
Demand for exhibitor space at the forthcoming inaugural Geelong Caravanning & Adventure Leisurefest has forced event organisers to find an additional 25 per cent more space to accommodate a convoy of companies trying to exhibit at the show.
“ The team at Caravan Industry Victoria is accustomed to finding solutions to challenging situations that arise at our shows, though in this case the demand has forced us to remap the show and work with Geelong Racing Club and exhibitors to find more space,” Caravan Industry Victoria CEO Daniel Sahlberg said.“ But we’ ve succeeded in finding an additional 10,000 square metres of exhibition space to accommodate demand, taking our total to over 40,000 square metres.”
The Geelong Caravanning & Adventure Leisurefest will be the final RV show in Victoria for the year, with exhibitors gearing up to clear stock before the new year.
“ We believe there will be big end-of-year buying opportunities for those in the market,” Mr Sahlberg said.
Event starting times have had to change with the remapping of the show to cater for on-course track activity and the need to cater for free onsite parking. The event now opens at 9.30am, closing at 4pm, on November 28 and 30; however, on Saturday November 29, the gates will open at 9.30am and close at 5pm.
Tickets cost $ 15 for adults, with kids under 15 free when accompanied by a paying adult. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
