FREEDOM CAMP OF THE MONTH
Just up the road from Portland, in the Mount Clay State Forest, Sawpit Campground really is a pretty little site.
“ We got quite a bit of a surprise when we came up here. It had that beautiful smell about it. The rain came through earlier in the day, and it ' s just gorgeous,” Camps Australia Wide CEO Heatley Gilmore said.
“ It’ s pet-friendly and there ' s toilets. There ' s a lovely picnic area as well, with picnic tables. It is really handy to the coast; we were probably 10 minutes inland. It ' s just a really pretty little campground, and we had wallabies visit too.”
