NO WHIP-CRACKING!
Your article about caravan park rules did raise a few smiles here and many memories. Perhaps the park police could look at unsupervised minors and their exchanges. Washing clothes in the shower is a sure sign of selfishness and a no-no, as is talcum powder – good heavens, it ' s the 21st century. Perhaps it ' s nana ' s practice at home but not when others need to walk without finding a coagulated substance between their toes.
A couple of pics to finish. This‘ unisex’ sign was found in Bowen or Ingham and was complemented by the equivalent sign on the female facilities. Whip-cracking is popular, especially in western Queensland, but it’ s frowned upon in van parks.

FAIR AND BALANCED
Fair call, Marty. I agree, those rules are not meant to deter travellers, but to ensure they are aware of specific conditions that any particular park requires adherence to. Requesting that water usage be minimised is very reasonable, as some remote locations have water supply and resource issues.
Speed limits need to be enforced to ensure the safety of all park users( this one rule is continually violated by way too many motorists).
Using a toilet brush is a perfectly reasonable request, but many patrons leave their mess for others. Would they do this at their own home? Who knows?
One park in Western Australia has recently introduced an additional rule: no e-bikes or e-scooters are to be ridden anywhere inside the park. I am a cyclist and I couldn ' t agree more with this very sensible safety measure.
Your article was reasonable and well balanced. I hope others see the balance the same way.
