If there ' s one thing that tests even the most experienced caravanner, it ' s manoeuvring a large van into an awkward space.
Safety Dave is releasing the Safe‐T‐Mover, a purpose‐built, high‐torque caravan mover designed specifically for controlled, ground‐level positioning of heavy caravans.
The Safe‐T‐Mover uses dual independent electric drive motors, allowing each wheel to operate separately. This design enables smooth turns and precise alignment.
Operation is handled via a wired joystick controller, offering granular speed and direction control without relying on wireless signals or vehicle electrics.
The Safe‐T‐Mover is rated for caravans up to 3.5 tonnes( with a ball weight of 350kg), making it suitable for the majority of modern single and dual‐axle vans on the road today.
Large‐diameter wheels with an aggressive tread pattern provide traction across common surfaces such as concrete, bitumen, gravel and maintained grass. Rather than drawing power from the caravan ' s electrical system, the Safe‐T‐Mover operates on a self‐contained lithium‐ion battery. Typical usage provides around 1.5 hours of operating time, with a recharge time of about 1.5 hours. Additional batteries are available if required. Smart electronics continuously monitor current draw and temperature, protecting the motors and battery during demanding manoeuvres.
