IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE

When it comes to anything involving 240V power, safety is essential. This applies equally to generators, caravan park mains, and modern portable power stations like the Bluetti range. Never connect any external power source to your caravan’ s 240V inlet unless you are absolutely certain your caravan has the correct, functioning safety systems in place, specifically compliant RCDs designed to protect you, whether you’ re plugged into mains or running from a standalone power supply.
If you’ re unsure, don’ t guess. Have a qualified electrician inspect your caravan and confirm that everything is compliant and safe.
For added protection, I always use an appropriate adaptor device between the power source and the caravan inlet. But it’ s important to note that not all adaptors are created equal – some don’ t play nicely with generators or portable power stations.
After plenty of research, I settled on using the Powersafe Inline RCD DUO( RCDDUOIL1015) because it provides both 15A to 10A plug compatibility and proper safety protection across all usage scenarios, including mains, generators, and portable power systems.
I’ ll be doing a full review of this device soon, because it’ s become an essential part of my setup.
