RV FEATURE
HOW IT WENT
As far as DIY installs go, this one is relatively easy – the kit comes with all required components. You’ ll only need to supply a few minor things like screws, nuts and bolts, plus a couple of cable ties and saddles for the wiring. That said, this will all come down to how you choose to mount the Cosmo Mini unit.
Some flexible sealer may also be needed to make the weatherproof cable connector watertight. Again, this will depend on where you choose to locate it and the type of surface you’ re mounting it on.
With power to the waterproof cable connector, the job is done!
Final checks inside the caravan to see that we have power.
THE VERDICT
Using Starlink Mini is simple enough, but no longer needing to rely on a 240V power solution or passing power cables through windows or leaving doors ajar, is an absolute winner thanks to this kit’ s weatherproof cable connector.
We’ ve now got a seamless solution that only needs the Starlink dish set-up outside and the cable connected to the weatherproof cable connector. Being able to switch it on and off using the remote controlled switch, well, now we’ re talking!
In our books, being connected to the outside world couldn’ t be any easier. With less than a day’ s work in the shed, we’ ve now got a quick and convenient way to use Starlink Mini, and we can turn it on and off from wherever we are in the caravan … even while we’ re in bed!
