VIBRATING BEDS FOR CARAVANS
Over the years, I have heard caravanners wishing they could have an adjustable bed in their caravan. They have them at home and know how much better they feel after a good sleep on that bed.
I hadn’ t even tried one until a few years ago when I was with a group of Highline Caravanners and one of them had bitten the bullet and put one in the van. She just couldn’ t cope without it. So, at her invitation, quite a few of us had a go at trying out her bed. She retained the control and put bits up and down until we found our favourite positions.
Well, that was great and led me to thinking about the bed. Do I need one or just want one? But if I have one at home, what will happen when we are on the road? At that time, the beds weren’ t made for caravans.
Today, Adjusta makes a caravan bed with two mattresses with separate controls. But it’ s more than that. Because weight is so important to ensure we stay within our payload allowance, Adjusta has kept the mattress weights down to 33 / 35kg per mattress.
Plus, you can lift the mattress base and still have that all important storage under the bed.
I really loved the gentle vibration. It’ s only on for a set period of time, but boy, was it delightful and so relaxing. It was hard for us to get off the bed!
