THE FRONT BOOT
The Escape uses an on-road hotdipped galvanised steel chassis, built for sealed roads and maintained gravel roads. It is not an offroad model; the Rover XT offroad chassis and suspension package is available for buyers heading further.
If you’ re after an offroad model that has already been equipped with all the gear, there is the Intrepid($ 64,990) and the Ultra($ 79,990), which has even more equipment and an upgraded 12V system.
The Escape and Intrepid carry a 120Ah lithium battery with a 50A DC-DC charger, a 35A AC charger and a 100W rooftop solar panel.
The Ultra includes the full setup: the cabin-mounted Renogy One Core smart monitoring system, a 7in One Vision touchscreen at the rear, a 50A DC-DC charger and MPPT solar controller, the Renogy Pro 2000W inverter charger with 80A AC charging, a 300Ah lithium battery with a 600Ah upgrade available, and 220W portable solar panels. A software update coming soon will add cabin control of lighting, fans, air-conditioning and the inverter through the One Core system.
