One of the reasons 4WDs make excellent towing vehicles is they are large and offer a huge storage area in the back for carrying all your gear. The problem is, it is just a big open space where things can move around. This can lead to breakages, or worse, projectiles if you’ re involved in an accident.
The most annoying thing, by a long shot, is trying to find that one small tool you need for an urgent repair. This is where a storage system of some description is a must for a touring 4WD. This can take many forms. You may just get a couple of stackable storage boxes, or you can go the whole hog and get a custom-made rear drawer system. These are perfect for organising all your gear into logical spaces so you will always find your socket set or your favourite torch. Best of all, your gear will be stored safe and secure.
