The Starlink wi-fi routers do not have great signal strength and don’ t allow much configuration.
This app allows you to remotely access and control the spare phone in your van via the internet by‘ mirroring’ its screen on your phone. Now you can access any apps on the phone, including those controlling your accessories. It’ s a little clunky and may be slow depending on your internet connection, but it does work. I’ ve even used TeamViewer to access my caravan’ s systems through a Starlink connection.
If you’ re not tech-savvy, don’ t worry, as TeamViewer is very well supported and there are plenty of videos on YouTube that can walk you through the process. The bonus is TeamViewer is completely free to download and use.
Hopefully, we’ ve inspired you to think about putting a wi-fi network into your caravan. Not only is it a bit of fun to set-up and use, it can really enhance your caravanning experience.
The VLC app can play video, audio and picture files.
