There’ s one new feature here that is not common in parks, no matter what size or location. It’ s called the Animal Park and it is home to a collection of birds and goats. Most mornings you can join in and help with feeding the animals. You do have to book prior to going, so they don’ t have too big a crowd.
We were also given a special piece of paper that had 10 discount vouchers for places all around Airlie Beach. So many different vouchers covering things like food, health, chemists and smoothies!
On our last night there, we tried the Trilogy Café. It’ s a burger place by the swimming pool with a small range of drinks. Well, we both like ginger beer, so that was easy. Peter and I aren’ t really burger people – we don’ t do a lot of bread. But I would return anytime. Peter ordered a straight hamburger. I went for one with chicken schnitzel, lettuce, cheese and bacon. I’ m not kidding when I say that it was the best burger meal we had ever had and the bread rolls were just perfect.
