A NEW
VANNER’S
EXPERIENCE
GoRV’s production manager, Adriana Manson,
decided it was time to learn to tow and, as
importantly, how to reverse a van. And so we
found a quiet parking area to practise.
“At first I felt a little anxious about towing and
mainly reversing a van,” she said. “Driving
on the road was great. I found it easy to tow
with the assistance of the towing mirrors and
found that I just needed to accelerate a little
more when taking off.

my hands on the bottom of the wheel, and then
turning the wheel in the direction that I wanted
the van to go, really helped as it meant I didn’t
have to think too hard about how ‘right is left
and left is right’.
“While I initially found reversing the van in a
straight line quite difficult, by trying to keep
equal amounts of the van in each mirror and by
going slowly and making small corrections, I
could control the direction of the van much easier.”
