BACK ON THE ROAD – ALMOST BY MAX TAYLOR
For weeks , I ’ ve had to stay mostly indoors , away from the office , people , and certainly not doing any caravanning .
It was therefore a relief when the Victorian government relaxed restrictions just enough to allow me to take out the Option RV featured on this issue ’ s cover .
To be in the sun , poking my nose through a caravan , was a reminder of normal times . And soon enough , I ’ ll be back on the road , travelling wherever I please without fear of breaking any rules .
This thought made me wonder about the difference in road rules around Australia . Yep , for all of their uniformity , there are some
differences in the rules of the road from one state to another that are worth knowing .
So Marty Ledwich , a good friend to GoRV and a full-time caravanner , set out to explain the main areas of difference around the country – one or two of which he learned about from painful personal experience .
