ON THE ROAD WITH THE THE FEEL GOOD FAMILY
AWESOME BROKEN HILL EXPERIENCE !

STAR VIEW CAMPING We camped offgrid at the Star View Primitive Campsite within the 2400ha Living Desert State Park , and what an incredible experience it was . The campsite offers 15 unpowered sites for RVs , a separate wood-chipped area for tent camping , modern amenities and free gas barbecues , plus two ‘ star-gazing beds ’ for you to take in the stars at night .
The Living Desert offers a range of experiences , including the popular Sunset Sculpture Walk , a 180ha Flora and Fauna Sanctuary , and a 2.2km Cultural Walk that showcases the region ’ s Aboriginal heritage , desert wildflowers , native plants , and freeranging fauna , including wallaroos and red kangaroos .
SILVERTON Located 26km north-west of Broken Hill , Silverton truly is one of Australia ’ s most quirky outback towns . Despite being home to less than 40 people today , Silverton offers its visitors a number of unique experiences and accommodation options that will make your stay a truly memorable one .
Our highlights included a spectacular sunset tour with Silverton Outback Camels , a cold beverage at the famous Silverton Hotel , and the Mad Max Museum , which is packed with memorabilia , on-set photographs , set pieces , costumes , and vehicles from the George Miller blockbuster movies .
A visit to the New South Wales outback shows that with all that open space comes unique and authentic experiences where the people are open-hearted , open-minded and ready to welcome you with open arms .
