Before setting off on a big trip , why not book yourself and your partner in for a towing course ? Sure , you might have been towing caravans around Australia for years , but has your partner ? He or she would no doubt appreciate having you do the course too , and who knows how many bad towing habits you ’ ve picked up that should be rectified ?
DISTANCES
They say that getting there is half the fun . Sure , there is some truth to that , but that doesn ’ t mean you should push it . Sometimes , you will want to travel long distances for a few days , just to get to a destination , while others you ’ ll want to meander .
However far you travel , it is essential that you break up the day . For example , head off after breakfast , stop after an hour or so to buy some bread rolls for lunch later , then drive some more before pulling up to fill those rolls with something from the van ’ s fridge .
