FREEDOM CAMP OF THE MONTH
Salt Creek Rest Area is located conveniently between two major attractions in the Red Centre .
It is 210km north-east of Uluru and 113km from Kings Canyon , making it a perfect overnighter between these two iconic destinations . Because this site is free and pet-friendly , it is generally busy .
The shaded barbeue / picnic area is a good spot . It is large with lots of space and trees . There is definitely room for big rigs at Salt Creek Rest Area but bring your own water . It even has the Camps Australia Wide tick of approval !

We certainly enjoyed our picnic here . There was plenty of room for our kids to kick a football .
