WATER WISE SOLUTIONS
I know there are millions of modifications you can make to your vehicles but most are usually about making life on the road simpler and easier . Given that using John Guest fittings makes plumbing so easy , I have included a couple of things I ’ ve done to our caravan .
I have permanently fitted my double water filter inside the gas cylinder box on the drawbar . This way , all I have to do is plug the hose into the inlet and it goes through the filter and then into the original van intake . I can fill my tanks this way , too , and have filtered water for travelling .
Another simple modification is to put another inlet at the rear of the van and control the flow via a couple of ball valves front and back . This keeps my hoses to a shorter length and it ’ s flexible for difficult tap positions .
