RV WORKSHOP
RATCHET STRAPS AS TIE-DOWNS
The same caravanner who uses the extra awning arms also uses ratchet straps as tie-downs . Each strap has an S hook on the end connecting to some rope looped around the vertical arm and the horizontal rafter . It ’ s so solid that he never brings the awning in , even during a storm !
LIGHTING THE WAY
Solar-powered lights such as these can be purchased online and are fairly inexpensive .
Once secured to the awning arm – or wherever you choose – you ’ ll have a well-lit campsite .
SENSOR LIGHT SOLUTION
Sensor lights such as these are a good idea , especially for those late-night runs to the amenities block . Similar products can nodoubt be purchased online but this caravanner actually found them at his local Aldi store and reckons they are very bright .
