LET THERE BE LIGHT !
This is a great safety feature and especially reassuring for solo women travellers . I bought two solar-powered sensor floodlights – $ 10 each from the hardware store . One is attached with velcro to the bull bar of my motorhome , the other to the bike rack on the back .
They are weatherproof and have a 120 ° scan range . At dusk , they automatically switch to ‘ welcome ’ mode , which is a 10-lumen output . When you approach within 6m , they are activated by the movement and switch to full light mode , which is 200 lumens .
To remind me to remove them when driving , I clip their storage bag to the steering wheel . Works for me !
