CAMPING

Across the region , there are many accommodation options for tourists to consider , from the major towns , pubs and hotels , to bush camps . We stayed at some fantastic camping areas during our trip to keep our camping costs down .
Camping at Langi Ghiran Campground .
Lake Ratzcastle Reserve .
LANGI GHIRAN CAMPGROUND This gorgeous little campsite within the Langi Ghiran State Park was a great spot to spend a night or three . It features plenty of open sites for vans and campers .
GOROKE – LAKE RATZCASTLE RESERVE While there is a camping ground in Goroke , we opted to drive out of town to Lake Ratzcastle Reserve . Located 12km south of Goroke on the Edenhope-Goroke Road , Lake Ratzcastle is a noted fishing spot ( when there is water in the lake ), particularly for yellowbelly , and it has a campground that is suitable for tents and caravans . There is no power at the site ; however , there are toilets and a solar-heated shower . No drones are permitted here and boating zones and fishing licenses are required – when it ’ s carrying water ! This was such a serene place to camp , and donations are accepted .
Yarriambiack Weir Pool .
HOPETOUN – LAKE LASCELLES Lake Lascelles has powered and free unpowered sites . It is an excellent place to camp . There are some amenities , it ' s close to town and allows for some great boating and fishing experiences . It can get packed though !
YARRIAMBIACK WEIR POOL Located in Brim , this fantastic camping area is just $ 10 per night with full amenities . It ’ s run by the local Lions Club and it is a great place to stop .
