No bookings are required . Sites are on a first-in , first-served basis , for stays up to a maximum of 14 nights .

The campsites are tucked between the coastal scrub , with many offering great views of the long stretch of beach . While there are pit toilets available throughout the campground , there is no access to fresh water or power , so campers are required to be self-sustainable .

Framed by the rugged pink granite peaks of the Hazards Range and sheltered by the calm waters of Great Oyster Bay , Coles Bay is an idyllic coastal village known as the gateway to Freycinet National Park .

With its uncrowded beaches and crystal clear waters , Coles Bay is an ideal location for swimming , kayaking , boating and fishing . We stayed at the Big4 Iluka on Freycinet , which made the perfect base to explore the area and enjoy the many delights of the national park .
