THE FRONT BOOT
JAYCO ’ S RANGE JUST GOT BIGGER
Jayco has unveiled a couple of new vans for 2023 : the Wren camper trailer and the Jpod-X .
According to Jayco , both campers are “ aimed at couples looking for an uncomplicated solution to the RV lifestyle ”.
The Wren becomes Jayco ’ s entry level camper trailer . Similar to the existing Penguin camper trailer but with a lighter weight and lower price point , it comes standard with a 100Ah battery , a 95L external fridge and a slide-out kitchen with two-burner cooktop . It is available in standard Touring format or with the Bush Pack , which gives the Wren an underslung axle , a suspension upgrade , a high-lift jack and protective checkerplate .
The JPod-X builds on Jayco ’ s existing Jpod range . This model offers side entry doors and a rear kitchen hatch with upright fridge , a slide-out kitchen on the rear quarter and a 270-degree ‘ Escape by Jayco ’ awning to create an undercover meal-prep area .
It is anticipated that the majority of the rest of Jayco ’ s 2023 range will receive an upgrade to lithium batteries , along with increased solar capacity and DC-DC charging .
Further , Jayco ’ s Off Grid-X upgrade introduces the option of the new Intelli-Jay High Power management system , a 400Ah lithium battery , three 200W solar panels with 40A solar controller and a 3000W inverter .
The Off Grid-X package is currently available on Jayco ’ s All- Terrain caravans , but Jayco has plans to roll it out to other models later in the year .
