BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort , Qld , and BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park , Tas , took the gold and silver respectively in the Caravan and Holiday Parks category of the prestigious 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards , celebrated at a gala event in March .

They were joined by state finalist BIG4 Bendigo Marong Holiday Park , Vic .

It ’ s not the first time that BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort won the accolade . In fact , it took the gold in 2018 after winning the bronze in 2017 . But this victory was particularly sweet , given the tough pandemic-affected years in between .

It was the first time BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park and BIG4 Bendigo Marong had been finalists in the awards .

Silver went to Big4 St Helens Holiday Park .

BIG4 Holiday Parks CEO Sean Jenner said the success of the parks in the awards highlighted their achievements in providing a high quality and enjoyable holiday park experience , especially after such a challenging time across the industry .

“ We are so proud and excited to see BIG4 Bendigo Marong and BIG4 St Helens Holiday Parks named in the awards for the first time , and BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort taking out the top gong ,” Sean said .
