THE OFFROAD 17FT 10IN BUSHMASTER BLUEGUM
HAS POWER, WATER AND STORAGE IN SPADES.
The 17ft 10in Bushmaster
Bluegum is among the most
popular in the range. It’s an
offroader with all the right
equipment in all the right
places. I’m talking about
power, storage, and fresh
water. The layout, well, that’s
not bad, either.
Bushmaster Caravans owner
Terry Ryan is a caravanner
from way back. He’s spent
most of his life in and around
vans, and has done his fair
share of trips around Australia

with them. The fact is, he
knows caravans, what works,
what doesn’t and why.
This experience is on show
throughout the Bluegum.
Here, we’ll go through our top
four features of this highly-
specced, well-priced caravan.
1. STORAGE
Is there such a thing has having
too much storage in a
caravan? Perhaps. But only
if it leads to temptation to
pack so much that the van
is overweight. The 17ft 10in
Bluegum has over 600kg
of payload so on this front,
overpacking shouldn’t be
a problem.
On the drawbar, you’ll find
a multipurpose, checkerplate
box comprising storage for the
dual 9kg gas cylinders, a top
section for the jockey wheel
and other bits and pieces,
two side lockers, and a right-
through tunnel behind them.
Behind the drawbar box
is another right-through
