for at least a week. Unless,
of course, you enjoy long,
luxurious showers. The van has
one water filling point (rather
than three per tank) and three
individual taps. Just turn on the
tap of the tank you wish to fill.
It’s the same story inside the
van: three taps are provided,
one for each tank, so it’s a
matter of turning on the tap of
the tank you wish to draw from.
More and more, offroad
caravans are being fitted with
grey water tanks as standard,
and the Bluegum gets the
same treatment. In this case,
it’s a 60L tank.
4. LAYOUT
Considering the internal length
of 17ft 10in, the layout feels
surprisingly spacious, though
it’s a bit of a squeeze between
the dinette and kitchen. And,
admittedly, kitchen bench
space is quite limited. However,
it’s otherwise comfortable,

modern and stylish. I
particularly like the Swift Eco-
Therm heater under the bed
(and the fact the thermostat
is right next to the bed!);
however, because this system
relies on heat transfer from
water heated by the Swift hot
water service, I think it would
make sense for the HWS
switch to be beside the bed,
too, just in case you,
like me, prefer to turn the
HWS off overnight.
Finally, Bushmaster has
a special offer for GoRV
readers: mention this article
and Terry will throw in a
portable solar panel worth
$550, a reversing light worth
$220 and a full checkerplate
front worth $400 on any
Bluegum model.

VERDICT
HITS
• The layout of the
bathroom
• The onboard space
heater and position
of the thermostat
• Overall rigidity/
strength of the van
MISSES
• The spare wheel sits
a little low, impeding
the departure angle
• If possible, I’d
relocate the HWS
switch to near the bed
