RV FEATURE
Are your preferred manufacturer ’ s vans RVMap-accredited ? This is a voluntary industry accreditation program managed by the national body , the Caravan Industry Association of Australia , that involves surprise RV compliance audits . A quick way to tell is to check for the RVMap accreditation key – a logo that you ’ ll find on many caravans built in Australia . It is designed to instil confidence in customers that the manufacturer cares about compliance .
SHOW TIME
Attend RV shows . Again , that almost sounds like a clichè , but it ’ s sound advice . First , it costs money – quite a lot , actually – for a manufacturer to display at the RV shows held by the official statebased caravan / RV associations , from Melbourne Leisurefest to the Let ’ s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow . That alone says something about their commitment to their business .
“ Manufacturers that actively attend our industry shows demonstrate a commitment to the RV community and showcase their dedication to providing products that support this ,” Mr Sahlberg said .
“ To attend our shows , they must be a member and meet the aspects previously mentioned and have a dealer that meets our definition of a dealer . Product compliance audits are done at the shows , too . These events offer a unique opportunity to meet manufacturers face to face , see their products firsthand , and ask detailed questions about their quality processes and after-sales support .
