THE FRONT BOOT
Some of the world ’ s best caravans are made right here in Australia , and the new Kokoda Counterstrike Vincere is a shining star in this ‘ best of the best ’ category . Much like the space race of the last century , Australia ’ s caravan industry is now locked in a highstakes battle to see who can build the most innovative and luxurious home on wheels .
According to Kokoda Caravans owner Trevor Price , the Counterstrike Vincere was born from a bold vision : to create a fivestar caravanning experience without forcing travellers to choose between comfort and exploration . This is more than just a caravan – it ’ s a groundbreaking , off-grid powerhouse with worldfirst features , like an ‘ unlimited ’ power system and water generation capabilities .
How is that even possible ? you ask . Let me explain .

The Vincere ’ s power system is nothing short of extraordinary . It features 7.3kW of solar panels that act as dual-purpose awnings on both sides of the caravan . At the push of a button , the solar panels elegantly extend like butterfly wings , shading the van while generating impressive amounts of solar energy . I ’ ve never seen this much solar real estate on a caravan – there ’ s more on this van than on my house ! This endless supply of solar energy keeps the 10kWh battery system charged , powering a long list of onboard appliances , from an integrated dishwasher to an air fryer .
But what about water ? That ’ s where the Vincere ’ s autonomous water system truly stands out . This ingenious system extracts water from the surrounding air , much like a reverse-cycle airconditioner creates condensation . While the specifics are complex , it means you can stay off-grid for longer , with a modest but reliable water supply . We ’ ll dive deeper into the technology behind this in a future article .
