The van is generously fitted out , too . Among the internal equipment , there is an electric CaraFan dust extraction system ( an improvement over the oldstyle pressure hatches ), a Truma Aventa low-profile reverse-cycle air-conditioner , a 274L Thetford compressor fridge , a Dometic e2400 gas heater system ( with one outlet ), and much more .
As nicely equipped as this van is , though , it ’ s the attention to detail that impressed me the most . It is hard , if not impossible , to find something to criticise about the interior fitout of a Roadstar , and the Safari Tamer Extreme is no exception .
SAFARI TAMER CONSTRUCTION
As mentioned , the Safari Tamer Extreme is a full fibreglass sandwich panel construction . The benefits of composite fibreglass are clear : incomparable strength and thermal efficiency , quieter inside , and in the unlikely event a panel is damaged , they are reasonably easy to repair for a specialist . Unlike traditional ribbed aluminium , they won ’ t be dented by hail or the occasional knock .
