RV REVIEW
Speaking of the A-frame , Opus has equipped it with an ARK XO750 jockey wheel which , if you haven ’ t seen one before , are great pieces of equipment . A DO35 coupling completes the picture up front .
Underneath the OP13 , you ’ ll find a couple of 120L shielded water tanks as well as a 67L grey water tank . That ’ s a pretty decent water supply , enough to keep you going for a good three or four days offgrid , if not more .
The 12V system , meanwhile , is comprised of two 100Ah deepcycle batteries and to keep them charged , there are five solar panels mounted to the roof for a combined total of 500W . Of course , there ’ s a 50A AC-DC battery charger , and even a 40A DC-DC charger , which will charge the batteries off the vehicle when the camper is under tow .
Setting up this camper shouldn ’ t take long . It ’ s just a matter of popping the roof in the usual way – undo a few over-centre catches , step inside and lift the roof . Then , lower the spare wheel carrier at the back , fold out the bed , and arrange the mattress inside . Easy . It ’ s not a unique system – a number of manufacturers offer this – but Opus does it particularly well .
