Marty and Kylie hunkered down in Lake Argyle which, as he pointed out at the time, was“ pretty much deserted”. Though they were comfortable, they lived week to week with the constant threat that the caravan park might be forced to close and evict them. For supplies, they had to drive a 170km round trip to Kununurra.
It was the same for countless other caravanners. They were stuck, and in many instances, made to feel unwelcome. Let’ s not do that again …
