HOW iNDUS WORKS

There’ s been a revolution brewing in terms of RV sanitation. How we handle the delicate task of offloading our ablutions is set to change. The humble toilet cassette has served us well for years. Decades, really. But Thetford has developed the iNDUS Waste Water Management System, an intelligent solution to a task that we would all rather not think about.

I’ m not just talking about emptying the cassette either. The iNDUS system almost takes care of itself. Further, it let’ s you stay longer offgrid, minus the odours, before needing to find a dump point.

When Thetford launched this system in Australia at the start of 2025( though a version of it has been in use in Europe for about five years), it was only available for motorhomes. Avan was an early adopter and iNDUS is being rolled out to other motorhome manufacturers as I type. But Thetford is currently working on a version of iNDUS that will work for caravans, a bigger portion of the RV market.

So how does it work? How does iNDUS take the fuss and bother – and the odour – out of handling a toilet cassette and other tasks associated with hygiene in the bathroom?
