QUATTRO IN ACTION!

Let’ s be honest: caravans aren’ t the easiest of beasts to wrangle. They’ re big, heavy and unwieldy. One wrong move and you’ re probably looking at a hefty repair bill or insurance excess payment.
After years – decades, really – of manoeuvring caravans for work, blocking highway traffic in order to reverse a caravan into the driveway of a manufacturer, or backing vans into the most ridiculous of places in order to get the perfect shot, I’ d be in contention for a podium finish if backing caravans were an Olympic sport.
But even still, I am the first to say that caravan movers are a wonderful idea. They come in a variety of designs. Some mount to the A-frame in place of the jockey wheel, while others mount to the chassis and feature a special roller that acts upon the wheels of the van in order to move it.
Whatever the design, they’ re intended to allow the user to move their van in a slow, precise way. Essentially, they turn your caravan into a very slow, very manoeuvrable remote-controlled car.
