KEY TIP
I am replying to the section in the magazine‘ Too Many Keys’( GoRV # 104) and yes, I had the same problem and it is a pain, but I fixed it and it is rather easy. I contacted a company called 1Key. You supply pictures of the locks you have on your van, and they let you know which ones can be replaced along with a quote. I also ordered three padlocks for external use on the van.
The locks are replacements for the current locks, and they come with six keys( they are all the same), so you only need one key. The changeover took an hour or two but it was an easy process. Some locks cannot be changed over due to size and position( external tray table and gas cylinder small locks) but I now only need three keys to lock and unlock everything on the van.
I fully recommend the changeover of your caravan locks.

A LOAD OF HOT AIR
The latest episode of your podcast, Tow & Tell, was interesting but I think anyone who goes‘ gas-less’ with their caravan has rocks in their head. Gas is still an efficient source of energy and it is cost-effective. If you go allelectric, then you’ re one electrical failure away from having your trip ruined completely.
Ron Simmons
G’ day Ron, whether we like it or not, gas is being phased out of our lives and at some point, we’ ll all have to climb aboard the electric bandwagon. That said, I certainly see the wisdom in travelling with a gas back-up, even if it is just a 4.5kg cylinder and portable barbecue. – Ed
