COASTAL CARAVANS IN DEPTH!

It’ s known as the‘ Caravanning Capital of Tasmania’. This welcoming caravan dealership is the largest in the state, it’ s been owned by the same family since 1988, and it’ s going from strength to strength. As I departed for the mainland, having attended Coastal Caravan’ s second annual three-day expo, I couldn’ t help but reflect on the fact that caravanning on the Apple Isle is alive and well.

The event kicked off with speeches and a dealership packed with special guests and friends of Coastal Caravans. Even the Tasmanian premier, Jeremy Rockliff, was there to help celebrate this special occasion. You see, the expo coincided with the completion of impressive renovations that have added to the dealership’ s undercover showroom area and significantly expanded its service and repair facilities. As the premier finished his remarks, he unveiled a special plaque dedicating the redevelopment of Coastal Caravans in honour of family matriarch Mazzie Austin, a‘ founding force’ of the business.
