HEARTBREAK OVER ZONE
I just learned about the Zone RV collapse and I am heartbroken for the customers. I have read some horrible stories about people losing hundreds of thousands of dollars, but the question needs to be asked: why is this being allowed to keep happening? This is not the first time a caravan company has collapsed and left its customers in the lurch. Remember: it’ s not just that they’ re not getting their caravan, it’ s that they had already paid for it and in many cases even given a VIN number. Imagine the psychological and emotional damage that would take on a person. Time will tell what happened at Zone RV and why it appears they couldn’ t pay their creditors. Meanwhile, I hope something is done to prevent this sort of shocking thing from happening again.
David Taylor
Thanks, David, I completely agree. I also hope that the ACCC will take all appropriate legal action if it is revealed that the director of Zone RV and any other officeholders committed any form of malpractice. – Ed

IT ' S AN EMBARASSMENT
The Zone situation is honestly heartbreaking. Australia – and Victoria in particular – is home to some of the world’ s largest caravan manufacturers, yet the industry remains one of the most poorly regulated. It paints a really embarrassing picture of Australia on the global stage.
How much more needs to happen before the Australian government and other authorities step in and take action?
Sylwia Logan
Note to readers: Sylwia Logan was one of the victims of the Tango collapse, though Nova Caravans stepped up to provide the family with a new van free of charge. She was, however, one of the lucky ones, with countless others deprived of the new caravan they had paid for.
