FUEL PRICE INCREASE RESPONSE
In response to rising fuel prices, fuel security and the potential impact on travellers, the Caravan Industry Association of Australia has implemented a paid digital campaign“ to ensure our sector provides clear, evidence-based reassurance to consumers”.
“ The campaign is designed to reinforce a simple point: caravanning and camping remain among the most affordable, flexible and accessible holiday options available to Australians, even in the context of rising fuel costs,” Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO Stuart Lamont said.
“ The campaign will be supported by activity across our own channels and database, with messaging focused on value, flexibility and wellbeing. It highlights travellers’ ability to control their spend, adjust trip length and location, and continue to prioritise time away with loved ones.”
Alongside the campaign, the association is undertaking targeted consumer research to understand how travel intentions are shifting in response to fuel conditions.
“ This will allow us to move beyond sentiment and provide government with clear evidence of impacts on both consumers and operators. This will also be shared with our state associations to make sure we have consistent advocacy and consumer messaging across the country,” Mr Lamont said.
