FUEL CRISIS
I admit to humming and singing along to a variety of tunes while I’ m driving. Not well, but I give whatever song is on my mind a mighty hiding.
The latest:“ Should I Stay or Should I Go” by the punk rock band The Clash, from way back in 1981.
Yeah, I know the song has nothing to do with a fuel crisis, but the words ring all too pertinent for every one of us at the moment.
Should I stay, or should I go now? Should I stay, or should I go now? If I go, there will be trouble. And if I stay, it will be double. So come on and let me know.
Don’ t go thinking steering an EV will save you from the flow-on effects of fuel pricing and restricted supply. Nope, pretty much everything we all do is affected in some way: food prices, airfares, shipping and freight, raw materials and construction, entertainment, accommodation, and most importantly for RVers, our whole experience is under fire, to the point that many will choose to miss out altogether.
Long trips into the outback might be off Mark ' s radar for a little while...
