COUPLING
There’s a reason why the humble 50mm Al-Ko
ball coupling is fitted to tens of thousands of
blacktop touring caravans in Australia. It is
simple and reliable, and though it is rigid, with
no in-built articulation, it does a perfectly
good job on flat terrain and on mild
undulations.
A standard ball coupling will self-guide to a
greater extent than any offroad pin coupling,
too. Honestly, there’s something to be said for
the simplicity of the basic ball coupling.
