While heading off on an early morning trip towards the Meander Valley , there was an opportunity to stop at the Lilydale Falls Reserve . This spot is popular for a picnic , to camp or for bushwalking .
The reserve is a leafy , shaded haven , with lots of birdlife and plenty of room for vehicles , including caravans and motorhomes , to camp up for one night . There is an undercover area with a barbecue , a playground for the kids , picnic tables , toilets , bins , and pets are permitted .
