From the camping area , take the walking path beside the creek , which leads you to the falls – it ' s an easy , five-minute rainforest walk .
You ' ll cross a footbridge over the creek and take the steps up to a viewing platform , but you can step down to the base of the falls as well .
Lilydale Falls Reserve is site number three in Camps 11 – it is definitely worth a look-see and an overnight stay while you ' re touring Tassie . It is a popular picnic spot on the weekends so get there early .
You can pop into town for the markets by local designers and producers , delicious cafe food and to snag a bargain at a quirky antique shop .
