INSIDE THE COROMAL
The Coromal Adventure Seeker was perfect for us . It had a queensize east-west bed , double bunks , a full fridge and freezer , toilet , shower , washing machine , gas and electric cooking , plenty of storage inside for food , clothes , beach towels , Speedos , rash vests , wetsuits and camping games . It also had tunnel storage for our camp chairs , tables , fishing rods and more .
The large gas bottles came in handy for our cooking each night and the comfortable lounge and table was big enough for the five of us , making dining inside easy when the storms set in .
We have a teenager who likes his own space , so Cooper prefered to sleep outside in his swag under the stars or under the awning , depending on the weather . When the rain became too extreme , the van had enough space for us to put a self-inflating mattress on the floor if he wanted to move inside .
We stayed in Hervey Bay for a few days catching up with family . We loved fishing , swimming and boating and joined my brother and his family on adventures out to Pelican Bank for a picnic .
A bucket-list activity in Hervey Bay is walking the famous , historic Urangan Pier . It is a must-see attraction on the Fraser Coast and it ’ s one of the longest in Australia , measuring 1125m . Watching sunrise over the water and K ’ gari ( Fraser Island ) and sunset over the mainland from the same pier is amazing . It ’ s also a great spot for some fishing .
