The trailer that changed the camper trailer game has turned 25 years old . The brainchild of the late Alan Mawson and Gerard Waldron , the Tvan is an Australian icon .

No other camper can boast the longevity , history or offroad adoration of the Tvan .

“ It didn ' t join a market segment , it created a market segment . It ' s the camper trailer hybrid that began the camper trailer hybrids here in Australia ,” Track Trailer engineering manager Desmond Waldron said .

Each generation of the Tvan has brought improvements and innovations . “ We ' ve just continuously evolved ,” Gerard Waldron said . “ Like some of the icons of the car industry , I think the Tvan ’ s survival for all of this time has really been because it ' s grown with its customers , it ' s grown with their needs , it ' s grown with the available technology . It ' s a thoroughly up to date thing , even though it ' s 25 years old .”
