TERRAGLIDE DEMAND HEATS UP

Vehicle engineering and manufacturing firm Premcar has increased production of its new TerraGlide trailer suspension systems .
Most of the demand for this new system is coming from the caravan industry . The TerraGlide TG-X-1 for tandem-axle trailers is proving particularly in demand .
The new TerraGlide trailer suspension offers a suite of benefits not necessarily found on current caravan suspension setups . With its unique semitrailing arm independent suspension layout , it has Australian-developed highperformance suspension dampers engineered for all terrain types . It features maintenance-free automotive-grade durable suspension bushes that require no regular upkeep or greasing for the lifetime of the suspension ; an antiroll bar on each axle to maximise ride comfort while controlling ride stiffness ; 230mm of wheel travel ,
ideal for especially rough terrain ; engineered jounce bumpers for progressive wheel deceleration during large impacts , reducing shock loads into the caravan ’ s chassis and body ; and more .
“ Any offroad caravan ’ s suspension system should be at least equal to the vehicle that tows it ,” Bernie Quinn , CEO and engineering director of Premcar , said . “ The single biggest difference between TerraGlide suspension and other offroad trailer systems is that TerraGlide has been developed using OEM car-making processes and technologies .”
