WHAT CAMPING MEANS TO THEM
“ The camping lifestyle is ‘ cheap ’ in terms of accommodation , especially in Victoria , where free camping is prevalent , which allows us the much-loved opportunity to spend our tourism dollars in the towns and cities we visit ,” Andrea said . “ Markets , bakeries , pub meals and local attractions feature regularly on our holidays . We often seek out local breweries , wineries and distilleries to sample the wares and buy a bottle of something delicious to enjoy either on the road or back home .”
At Andrea and Blake ’ s wedding , they even displayed all of the bottles , from across Australia , which they had kept as mementos . Each bottle was filled with native wildflowers and positioned on a guest ’ s table alongside a photo of the couple at the location the bottle was purchased .
“ Seeking out beautiful and unique locations is central to who we are as a family , something we are missing greatly at the moment ,” she said .
As Andrea said , if it were just her and her husband affected , the loss of their dream wouldn ' t hurt so much . But how to explain it to the kids ?
