TANGO FALLOUT
“ By Monday , I still hadn ’ t heard from them , and so I asked my husband to call the manufacturer . He advised my husband he had stopped the build as Tango owed them $ 500,000 . At this moment , we had no idea what was going on . My husband called me and said we aren ’ t getting our van – they think Tango is going under . All Tango staff photos are off and no response to any emails or texts .”
All told , Kayla and Calvin lost $ 70,000 in this nightmare , on a loan that they ’ ll be re-paying with interest for a long time to come . They have since purchased another van for $ 80,000 .

“ My husband at the start didn ’ t really want to get another van after what had happened , but I was so upset that we just spent $ 70,000 and got nothing that I wanted something to show for our money and all our hard work – we had dreamed of having a van for years and we had so many trips planned ! So we went to Ian Grant ’ s Caravans and they have been great – they ’ ve done a good deal for us – so we went and looked through the vans there and my husband was in love with them . Him being there , us choosing everything again and being together this time was so lovely .
“ So now we may have paid around $ 150,000 for one van . At least we are still getting our van to go on all our adventures that were already planned . We have tried to stay positive through all of this .”
