Harry Fisher began filming YouTube episodes of himself cooking over fire during the covid years , becoming popular very quickly . His first cookbook , Fire To Fork , quickly followed and has since sold more than 35,000 copies in Australia alone .
Three years on , Harry has collated more than 70 new and original recipes for his second campfire cookbook , Fire II Fork : More Camp Cooking ($ 39.95 ).
“ I can ' t believe they let a former bean counter who rarely wears shoes write two cookbooks , but here we are . I have been so humbled by the huge response to my first book , and I can ' t wait to share this one with everyone ,” Harry said .
“ Fire II Fork is heavily influenced by the food I grew up eating while camping in south-west Western Australia . I ' ve done my best to ensure it ' s filled with hearty , familiar recipes that we usually only eat at home or at a restaurant .”
Harry ' s new book is again published by Wollongong-based Exploring Eden Media . Co-founder Brendan Batty said , “ We are so excited to share Fire II Fork with everyone who loved Harry ' s first book . Harry has a knack for making something as intimidating as cooking outside over an open fire easy , and the results are always delicious .”
